Q: "Do you expect Chris to be on this team and if so, is he going to be on scholarship?"
A: "I hope he's on the team. We want him here, we need him here, but I dont know about all our scholarship situation."

Q: "Do you ever give him a hard time about that computer stuff, or vice versa?"
A: "Nah - He's way too smart for me. We don't even talk. He's way, way above me. He's a great kid. Chris could tell you about that RPI stuff."

aggie11 - I think we have bigger fish to fry, which isn't a bad thing.

No we can't get him a scholarship, don't have any to spare. We are actually going to have to get rid of some current scholarship players (or players choose to leave) to make things work numbers wise next year.

We've got about 8 new faces who either redshirted this year or are coming in via JC or high school. Some of them will be walkons, and Bennett counts for football, but we're only losing Leach and (probably) Wright, so the numbers don't work as it is.

How many NCAA "APR" points -- or whatever it is -- do we lose for AW and possibly others leaving?

There will only be one scholarship available this spring as of right now, and it's going to Antanas.

Does AK have that much upside to take the only remaining scholie? I've seen other Euros come over here & stink up, along with a few becoming studs. Is AK in the "stud" potential category or will he be a work in progress?

Please dont take this the wrong way. I am intrigued with his 6' 11" frame, but I have not seen or heard much of him other than 18 & 10 in juco ball.

AK is not a project but I am not going to label him a stud either. He will be a welcome addition and he was the main guy our staff wanted in the spring.

Will they redshirt him ( AK ) to get some meat on him or do you think they will throw him into the fray?

If Tomas would have had Billy G coaching him for 4 years he would have been a real nice player.

Ags need to get signs saying "One more Year AW & CW". We need both of them back next season.

From what i understand from friends that went to HS w/ C-Dub is that his family can afford for him not to be on scholarship.

other than the scholarship stuff, why wouldn't CW come back? lack of minutes with the guys that are coming in? he could be our non bone breaking goon that will get tough rebounds and cause problems for the guys he guards.

He's graduating and has a very nice job offer on the table. It's a question of stay for another year and have a diminished role or get on with the rest of his life.

To me, it seems like a no brainer, since playing a NCAA D-1 sport is a once-in-a-lifetime shot, but Chris has to do what's best for himself.

Chris has an older brother who I believe is graduating this year, so that should help his family handle the financial burden next year if he's not on scholarship. I'm not sure if Guy ever tried out for the team. I know a bunch of the best guys from the rec tried out before this season. Chris and Brian Gahan made it and a couple others were practice players.

Tomas WAS a really nice player. When (key word) he was healthy, he was very good. With 4 years (or even a couple) under Billy Clyde, he'd be playing in another pro league. IMO, he was the biggest unnecessary loss from last years team. I understand the decision to go home and take the money, but he might be in a similar position to AW if he'd stayed. Certainly not as highly ranked, but probably draftable.

If it wasn't for Him, all this would be taken from me-football and my life, it could be taken from me if it wasn't for Him. I just know that's the first priority in my life."

all i have to say is if we had made the tourney with him starting we would have been the laughing stock of the nation with those shorts he wore, even locals would be like "how the #$@! does a guy looking like that play in the ncaa tourney?!"

Res caught some crazy illness that sidelined him for a long time. Cant remeber what, but his folks in Italy were really freaked out about it...sending their kid so far from him and having him get so sick. He was a good player.

Actually, his father was freaked out about it I'm sure, but his mother couldn't be freaked out because they never told her.

Tomas was a good player. And, as can be said about so few players over the past few years, I trusted him at the free throw line.
