snubbed teams that did better than that?

And BTW, we are the ulimate snubbed team if we have the most wins over Big Dancers and yet are not found on any snubbed lists.

Alabama A&M
Oakland
Texas
Texas Tech
Iowa State

And BTW only Alabama A&M was a close game.

couple of points:

1. oakland has no business being in the tourney

2. how many of those 5 wins came away from reed? zero

Wins over Oakland and Alabama A&M aren't wins to brag about and they probably hurt us more than helped us. You dont get any brownie points for beating crappy teams.

We had three legit wins over NCAA teams.

We were snubbed from the snub list.

See the above link for an analysis.

My friends in Kentucky say we can't claim victory over play-in teams (i.e. Oakland and A A&M). Therefore, we only beat 3 teams in the big dance. Heck on an improvement over recent years!!

Well tell your friends in Kentucky that they can't claim losing their virginity when it's their own sister.

Hey, they made the tourney and we beat them, that's all I'm saying.

Obviously if we had beaten one more tourney bound team on the road we probably wouldn't be having this discussion now would we?

Looking at RPI, Sagarin and wins over tourney bound teams, we gotta be in the top 5 or 6 teams in the NIT. IMO it would be a disappointment to not get to the 3rd round.

what about Santa Clara?????

They had FIVE wins over NCAA tournament teams and one of them was against a #1 seed and TWO of them were ON THE ROAD.

Should they have made any snubbed lists???

Nice logic guys.

Oh and just so you don't have to look it up, here they are:

UNC 77-66
Stanford 86-76
At Montana 77-75
At Saint Mary's 65-42
Saint Mary's, again 78-76

So they beat a 1 seed, an 8 seed, a 10 twice, and a 16

We beat a 6 seed, an 8 seed, a 9 seed, and two 16 seeds and you guys want national respect for that?

Well what about Santa Clara???

Sagarin had Santa Clara at #118 - they must have had some ugly losses to go with those impressive wins!

that is what is great about college basketball. you win the tourny, you our automatically in. gives somes teams hope and makes you bring you 'a' game.

No disrespect because A&M had an overachieving year considering all the factors, but you didn't get snubbed. Your not in the top half of the conference and you didn't win the conference tourny. Without being able to claim either of those you can't have been snubbed.

NIT is a hell of an accomplishment, and BG is a hell of a coach. 2 years max before you guys get in the Dance and it won't be as 16th seed either.

Cant argue too much with what you said M-Bevo.

With the unbalanced schedule, what is our conference? Put A&M in the North and we have 2 more wins.

PJ ...

you're a bit late on the draw on the topic. It was posted much earlier on a different thread.
