Yeah. He's Homer's son, and he was the head coach at Valpo the season before he came to Baylor. His brother is Bryce Drew, who played in the NBA for a bit.

He was Head Coach at Valpo for 1 year, Assoc HC for at Valpo the year prior, and then HC for Athletes in Action for 2 years.

He came from Overrated, by way of Valpo. His next stop is the Basketball HoF after winning 5 straigt NCAA titles with the Bears and then 7 NBA titles with Atlanta and 2 Olympic Gold Medals. Nobody knows it yet, but in 4 yrs, Coach K is going to resign from Duke to be Drew's shoeshine boy.

Lord knows I have no love for anything Baylor, but shouldn't we lay off the guy a little? Lots of coaches wouldn't have had the stones to try and turn that wreck of a program around.

Ag2k1 - No one here hates Scott Drew. He's probably a pretty decent coach. We're mocking the Baylor fans who came over here in droves after the first game spouting off that they are going to be the next best thing to heaven starting next year.

Lets see...Coach Drew takes over a basketball team with 3 scholarship players, fills out the team with student walk ons, and beats your Aggie ass in Waco AND CS.

The following summer, he beats Coach Gillispie for 3 of his top 4 recruits - Jerrells, Dugat and Rogers.

Dick Vitalle last week on ESPN radio called him one of the top young coaches in the country, and possibly the top recruiter in college basketball (not my words).
