I think that Reed could be a total Maroon or White arena alternating colors according to the even/odd section numbers. The look would be similar to the look of the Cotton Bowl seats in this image.



This is a very simple pattern that would be very visible and incredibly unique. Season ticket holders would get used to the color of their section and would over time fall into the pattern. A student group could even sell shirts for $5 before the game so that even or odd section ticket holders could get the right color.

Imagine the possibility...

UT and TT have already done it. Not unique at all.

what about checker board every other seat. im sure that would be a hassle, and having white seats would look bad after the first game. or just invest in scotchguard also.

I have never seen fans organize like you guys have done recently. What are you talking about? What arenas have color coordinated sections? UT! Give me a break…they could not pull it off. They have fans that complain about other fans being too loud! What would the backlash be if you were expected to wear a certain colored shirt accourding to their section number?

LSU does the alternating sections, purple and gold. Looks awesome on TV.

yeah i think i saw that when LSU was playing on espn earlier this year

we should take out the seats in the student section (like Kentucky). its not like they get used anyways.

LSU does the alternating colors by putting a shirt in every seat before the game. If you look at the shirts, they all have identical logos, just reversed. If we could afford to do it, I wouldn't mind, but I also like the fact that our way involves more participation.

They already did! This year. Passed out shirts for the OSU game, I believe. Didn't look great, but you could see it.

And tech has done it too, I believe a Big Monday game last year.

Florida has been doing it for years. This is neither a good, nor an original idea.

Wow...I had no clue that this stuff has been done before.

But I still feel that it would be best to try to involve all the fans and the students can pull off more unique patterns.

If you decide you want to do something like this, I would suggest getting sponsors and begin talking to t-shirt companies. Of course I would be willing to help, since...well...I'm kind of a big deal. People know me. (wink)

I don't know if any of ya'll have gotten the email... but Athletic Director is planning to have Reed patterned like that for the NIT games coming up.
Even # sections wear Maroon.
Odd # sections wear White.
Students bring 2 shirts or $5, cuz they will be selling shirts in the stands.

Wake Forest did it for the Texas game this year. It looked great.

Texas did it against Tech, and it didn't work because the old folks don't want to put a t-shirt on over their sweater vest.
