Well both teams are doing great, and there has been lots of rave reviews about the men, and it is well deserved. But lets not forget about the women. They have won 9 straight and deserve the same amount of praise.

I have been to a few women's games, and while they are not as fast paced as the guys, they can be just as exciting. Coach Blair, is a great coach, but he also is a little bit more "loveable". He passes out candy before games, and he coaches women, so he has to be a little more sensitive.

Anyway, get behind the women too, cause their effort is just as impressive.

Went to the game today. I'd never heard them say "Aggie's Ball" before, but I must admit it was pretty funny.

You'll only get "Aggies Ball" at women's games. It's the announcer's new catch phrase for this year that was slow to catch on...silly but fun.

"Aggies' ball" is genius. I hated it at first, but now that everyone yells it, it is awesome.

the band started the 'aggie's ball' thing, and then there are about 4 of us students that show up at all the home games that started saying it. it's fun. we're trying to get everybody to do, but it is slow catching on.

on another note, those of you that go to the women's (and men's) bball games: try to help get these traditions back:

1. during starting line-up introductions of the opponent, hold your newspaper up and shake it (to make a lot of noise) then, after their intros are over, crumple it up and throw it up in the air like what used to go on at G. Rollie)
2. when then opponent fouls, shout "You, you, you, yoooouuuuuu!!!" while pointing at the player.
3. when the opponent shoots free throws, saw varsity's horns off (aka swaying-if you're behid the goals) and yell AAAAAAAAAA
4. we were also trying to get everyone to count the dribbles when the opponents shoot FTs, but that doesn't seem to be catching on.
5. when an opponent fouls out of the game, shout, "left, right, left, right," (when they walk to the bench) etc. then "sit down!" when they get to the bench.
6. when Aggies shoot free throws, hold your hands above your head in the "Aggie A". if we make the FT, drop your hands and say "whoosh" (if it's 2 shots, then say "reload" after first shot, then "boom" after second)

i know a few of these are either new or a twist on the old way, but we trying to get some spirit going at the games, so help us out!!!!

dmb, it might help if you remembered to bring the newspaper next time

Maybe some flyers with this stuff printed on it can be placed on the seats prior to the game

The whole "Aggies' Ball" thing annoys the crap outta me.

i've been bringing old papers, but i'm sorry, i'm not a rich alum that can go buy that many papers for all to use. normally, (in the past) everyone used the batt from that day. once the semester starts back, people will be able to use those. maybe others could bring their old papers as well.

if you bring them, i'll pass them out.....i sit in the student section on the front row...i'm usually the one who passes out the paper anyway.

dmb, in case you didn't figure it by the winking face, I was just giving you grief because I stand with you at the games and was giving you grief then.

I was sitting near the bench during the game and heard Blair say "I sure wish they'd be louder with that" after the chant.

well, the more people that we get to do it, the louder it will be....how loud is it anyway? where i sit, all 5 or so of us do it, so i don't really know if it really makes an impact (soundwise)

AG SINCE 83-sorry...totally didn't even notice....half the time i try to read quickly through the posts....don't necessarily look at the little icons....and 99% of the time i don't look at who posted unless it is something to which i want to reply....who is this anyway???? (of the what, 3 other people that i always stand with) i'm a dork...

Let's just say you and I need to learn to be careful when saying "reload" after free throws immediately after timeouts.

Yes dmb dont forget your papers tomorrow. I may not be able to bail you out this time. Wednesday is recycle day in my neighborhood. And everyone else bring some a paper too. It would be great if the season ticket holders would get in on the action.
