A&M jumped from 90-something to 57th in the Sagarin rankings by beating UH by 13 points. This is our highest ranking in Sagarin in a long time - maybe since 1980? Still, with the meat of our schedule coming up, I take it with a grain of salt.

There were fans who predicted us to go 8-3 in non-conference and 2-14 in conference - I'm wondering if they are close to revising their predictions up a little?

We went from 55 to 51 in the predictor portion of the ranking (so high because weve been blowing people out). We went from like 150 to 83 in the Elo-Chess portion (takes out margin of victory I believe). The combined rankings we went from around 96 to 57.

Mainly the strength of our jump to 57 took the Big XII past the SEC and nestles us in behind the ACC as best basketball conference on Sagarin as well.

We also still have the worst schedule in the country at 332. Of course Baylor has 3 losses and has the 331st ranked schedule...so things could be worse...

Our SOS must have been really bad before the UH game, because I am a little surprised that after playing a team ranked right around 100 that we are still last in SOS. Hopefully, the PSU game will move us up a little bit.
