When was the last time we had two power conference non-conference home games? Maybe it happens more often than I remember, but off the top of my head I can't recall having more than one "name" program visit College Station per season.

Well, that didn't take long. In the 24-25 season, Ohio State and Wake Forest both came to Reed.

22-24 season - SMU and Oregon State were home games...but SMU wasn't P4 at the time

19-20 season - Gonzaga and Oregon State...then the post-season was cancelled by Covid

15-16 season - Kansas State and Baylor

08-09 season - Arizona and SMU...but no P4 for SMU yet

That's as far back as I felt like looking.

Gonzaga isn't technically "P4" either but I think we'd all count that. Memphis kind of a similar deal though not as reliably good as Gonzaga.

10 non conference home games , 1 more than last season so the season tickets prices dropped per ticket ( in our section anyway).

It's just going to keep getting more rare with the quad incentives to play neutral site. Until that changes, the forced challenges are gonna be most of it.

Look at mizzou for example this year. They play:

ST Louis
Ku
Nebraska
Illinois
Marquette

All neutral site. 4 in the state of Missouri.

NCAA changed to a 32 game schedule but it seems most P4 just added another buy home game.

That would be incredible but there are a number of games in there that will be tough W's. Particularly @ TCU, , Ok St, both Battle4Atlantis games , and Fla St stick out to me. To me 11-3 would be just ok, 12-2 good, 13-1 excellent , 14-0 over the top outstanding.
