Sadly, my BAS has extended from football to basketball. Don't get me wrong, it was always there for basketball but not as severe. Maybe this is an indirect effect of the optimism "Bucky Ball" has brought. Last night's game was a good example. I managed to watch the full first half without switching channels and remained hopeful despite TN's obvious size advantage (rebounding, etc.). But, with BAS, you seem to have a sixth sense about when things are headed south. So, with the Ags up 55-50 and having just fouled, I started monitoring the game on my phone while staying "otherwise occupied" all the way through the two overtimes. I know this is crazy and lessens my enjoyment of crucial plays that lead to clutch wins. However, with this approach, I seem to still enjoy the Aggie wins and the sting of losses is less severe. Does anyone have better treatment strategies?
