For fun, a long streak is on the line this weekend: The last time the A&M football team had won every game (no ties) before the start of basketball season was 33 years ago in the 1992 season. Football would finish the regular season undefeated and lose to Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl. Basketball would do... not as good as football.

This will be the toughest one in a while.

Part of it should be to predict our top 3 scorers! What big program are we going to upset first? And how many minutes (or seconds) into the first game will someone talk about this offense compared to Buzz

I'm definitely going to throw out more fun predictions since the answer to all serious predictions is "hell if I know"

If anyone has other suggestions throw 'em in here:

One of mine already is "what game do we break the school record for threes in a game" and "does anyone break the individual record for threes in a game? If so, who and how many?"

I think a fun one would be what game (or conference game) do we force the most turnovers.

Gonna be at least one game where a team just cannot figure out how to break the press and constantly turns it over.

How many turnovers would be fun.

Good news with the roster turnover is we won't have anyone on career records watch this year so less to track.

Chris McBuckets is the active career scoring leader with 9 career points, so he starts the year 2,049 points behind Wade Taylor for the school record,

Let's see…

Entirely new coaching staff with a distinct scheme that will be VERY different from Buzz Ball, but some of the assistants and strength coach are familiar faces! HC never coached in Power Conference before.

Entirely new roster.built from transfers and some of them are good college players! But everybody new to each other.

Bottom Four in SEC? NCAAT team? Who the heck knows! There is a wide possible variation given the circumstances in terms of floor and ceiling.

I love this honeymoon phase we're in with new coach, staff, and team. All hope and positivity. I know it won't last, it never does, but maybe Bucky can pull an Elko and have a really good season. I always admired Kyle Keller and can't wait to see him on our bench again. Good question might be will we score 100 points in a game and if so when?

In! I haven't been this pumped about the start of Aggie basketball in several years, and that's saying something because we've had some interesting teams.

This finally feels like a truly fresh approach.

It will be quiet around here Monday if we win in Baton Rouge, but if we don't the Bucky Bandwagon will get a big boost.
