I'm not disagreeing with you, but are you saying coaches never leave "better" jobs? Hell, our own coach left Marquette for Va Tech. I never agreed that FSU was better than TAMU, but a lot of people did and Jimbo left for us. Fran left Bama for us.

I don't think we could realistically get him to leave tech, but it's not the most insane thing to suggest we make the call.

The FSU fanbase had grown tired of Jimbo, same as Kenucky and Calipari. But it was totally soured at FSU by the time we rang, UK fans didn't hate Cal, I think both sides knew it was time for a change.

Truth is, no basketball program in this state is so much better than the next. Beard left tech for his alma mater, i dont think another coach makes that jump.

Wtf? I was just pointing out that comparing our baseball programs for the pity party isn't a good comparison. We've been further, more recently, with a much better history than tech, in baseball. Even as ****ty, and disappointing this baseball season has been, they are not better than us this year. They definitely have us beat in basketball, and that probably isn't going to change.

No, he wouldn't.

Some of you guys are absolute fools. Tech has never won an outright championship in football in their history. They tied a few times in the old Southwest conference and only got to go to the Cotton Bowl because A&M was on probation. They got beat by the largest margin of any Southwest conference school up to that point by USC who was barely in the top 20. Tech is a glorified junior college. They have almost no research funding unless you're interested in the mating habits of the boll weevil. Total bush league.

I'm not on premium but Hop's textbook move was to take something you said, say "are you saying…" but it wasn't at all what you were saying. Or take what you said and blow it up to 1,000 and make some extreme example of it.

Like two years ago I said Andy should shoot more threes if he wanted to play a bigger role and he said it was basically like saying Shaq should have shot more threes.

But Hop is also a ball knower even if he's unhinged about it sometimes.
