He can still do it at a high level. He's starting for Jokic and killing it at 37 y/o.

His combined stats for the last two games are 21 points, 32 rebounds and 11 assists.

Dude had the sickest dunk I've seen in person at A&M. Cannot find the footage anywhere. I think it was against Oral Roberts. A shot went off the back of the iron, and I think may have even scraped the top of the backboard. Dude leaped 12 feet in the air over the top of somebody and slammed it in off the rebound. It was nuts.

Yep

Just wish he would have played at least one more season here so we could have seen him tap into that potential a little more

It was against Colorado. It was one of the most athletic things I've ever seen in person. Up there with Blake Griffin almost killing Bryan Davis on a dunk.

This pixelated video that looks like it's from World War II doesn't do it justice.

The Antoine Wright drive and dunk was the first play I ever saw from an A&M basketball player where I thought "holy **** I'm watching a future legit NBA player right now."

The Deandre putback dunk vs Colorado was the first time I had seen a player in an A&M jersey and know they had no business being in college playing basketball.

Had to guard him playing at the Rec one time. It didn't go well for me.

Back when DeAndre was in high school the Great American Shootout AAU tournament at the rec was still happening and you could go see some of the nation's top players playing right on campus. I remember me and a buddy went to see the Houston Hoops when DeAndre was playing and he made a play that was maybe the most athletic play I've ever seen at the time, one of those plays where even the guy it happened to on the other team looked over at his coach like "hey what do you want me to do?"

A pass came up to the top of the key and this guy was wide open so he starts to shoot it and DeAndre jumped out from the paint and swatted it off the court. I still don't think I've ever seen someone block a three pointer jumping from the paint since. It was absolutely nuts.

I remember him jogging backwards down the court and tripping backwards, smoothly rolled a backwards somersault and sprang back to his feet in one motion. At his size, just crazy.

I thought I remembered a different one where the ball bounced higher off the backboard, maybe even off the top of the backboard and he slammed it in (it may not have even counted).

Maybe it is that one and my memory is playing tricks on me. It was definitely on that side of the floor. I was sitting next to the camera.

He did have one play that he didn't make it because he got fouled that was going to be greatest dunk in the history of college basketball, but I can't remember who that was against. It wasn't a put back though, he was just going to jump over a guy and hammer it.

I heard a scout one time say that sometimes the real tell of truly elite athleticism is the plays they almost make because it means they've done it before and believe they can do it in the game, and that stuck with me on that DeAndre play. Was also true of some of Q's dunks. They'd try dunks that seemed, to put it mildly, optimistic.

He did have a second dunk like the Colorado one, so that might be what Atticus remembers.

There was a put back dunk I remembered as being his best. I think it was against k state, maybe the first conference game? He came from the free throw line.

Great career, glad he came here for a year!
