No clue how I stumbled upon this video, but have we talked about this? I tried to clip it and embed, but it wouldn't work -- go to the 6:06 mark in the video to see what I'm referencing.

Mizzou is up 75-71 with 2:18 left with Caleb Grill makes a called 3 to go up 78-71, but you can see in the video its so obvious his foot was on the 3pt line, making it a 2. Except they never reviewed it, and Mizzou wins by 1.

How the hell is something like this missed? Even with a casual glance it was easy for me to see his toe was on the line.

I guess we aren't the only ones who get screwed by bad officiating

And to have it happen on your own court no less!

Just consider when he went 0/2 at the line later in the game a "ball don't lie" deal

Mizzou probably fouls, instead of letting uf take an uncontested 3 with 1 second left.

For sure, and I'm not saying that call cost UF the game, but every possession after that could have played out differently had they gotten that right, who knows. Mizzou could have won by even more.

But with 2 minutes left in a conference game that is within 2 possessions, it's inexcusable not to get that right. The official is RIGHT THERE, and it was obvious to the naked eye.

Looks like he might have traveled also.

Yep

They review so many things at the ends of these games, so why not that?

He definitely traveled before the shot but those types of travels happen all the time. Regarding the shot with the foot on the line, it is easy to see all of this stuff on replay and clearly it should have been a 2.

As for how this one was likely missed, the official that has the call was really close to the play and he is backing up while the shot is taken. He has to look high to confirm no foul while also trying to watch the feet which is almost impossible at that distance. He ideally would have been 5 feet further back but unfortunately, the shot happened right in front of where mechanics say he should be which is the free throw line extended.
