Good find!
I'm sorry, but Mizzou at 3 is laughable. No offense to the Tigers, but there isn't a single ranking/predictive college basketball metric available that would put them any higher than 5th, and almost all of the metrics would have them 7th or 8th.
I'm not going to listen to their reasoning, but I assume it's some combination of "they shoot so well!" and "they blew out MSST on the road!" and that's it.
No mention of getting pounded by Auburn, beaten soundly by Texas, losing to Illinois at home, etc.
REALLY good team, and teams 3-6 are probably all REALLY close, but to analyze those 4 teams and their metrics and put Mizzou at the top is wild.

They have won 2 games in a row, that's hot? So have we. So has Texas. They are 6-2 in the conference, we are 6-3.
I went and listened to them actually talk about Mizzou and it was exactly what I expected - fawning over a win against MSST and fawning over Caleb Grill, who has been hot the last 2 games, but shot 16% 3 games ago in their loss to Texas.
Again, I think Mizzou is good, and I don't think we beat them at home. But as of today, there isn't a single metric you can point to in justification of having Mizzou ranked above A&M, Florida, Tennessee or even Kentucky.
Of course it's a power ranking and made for discussion just like this, I just think its funny to talk about all these metrics for a bunch of teams but then when you get to Mizzou they dont mention a single metric or stat, just that "Mizzou is real good."
They can't mention any metrics, because the metrics would fly in the face of Mizzou at 3.
Edit: also of note, in 2-3 weeks this could be a completely different discussion if Mizzou actually does get hot. But they go to Tennessee on Wednesday … what happens if they get the brakes beaten off them like Tennessee tends to do to teams at home?
