Well, it's time to protect the home court! I said this in a thread after we beat ole miss. We probably lose that game 9 of 10 times with the stat line and how that game was played. And we probably win that game in Texas 9 of 10 times. Too many foolish mistakes and the inexcusable 6 men on the court. All that being said, it was one game. I like this team and there's alot of upside and we haven't reached our ceiling.

Let's take care of business at home.

Once we lost to Texas I was certain we were going to destroy Oklahoma. Maybe not anything crazy on the scoreboard because "destroy" for us is relative but I bet this game isn't particularly close.

I think it's another example of the "next game" being a bit too close to the last one (and the one before) with latest game Wed night being a grinder, earliest game Saturday a.m. ending with a deflating result and then a Tuesday game - but at least this one is back at home with a full Sunday, Monday and Tuesday to recover from the prior two games and properly prepare and rest.

I think our guys can really use the upcoming breaks with the extra day after Tuesday's game and the "bye week" coming up after this weekend's game.

But YES! This is a special team and hopefully a special year!

Let's put two good halves together and BTHO Oklahoma!

ACU! You could make an argument for the Alabama game too, outside of free throws going in that game went how we wanted it to.

I'd say Alabama for sure. Texas was good, they did everything right in the first half just to be tied. I really hate that second half on Saturday because we are soo much better than them.

Guess i feel - maybe just fear - the opposite. Could be one of those multi game mini funks where we press too hard on offense and it affects defense. Texas game might get in our heads a bit. Should be far less likely with all these seniors and all this experience though, we will see

Wow. I said in the t.u. game thread I thought it would be around Ags -2.5 and I was way off. Seems way too high but I'd certainly love a cover after Saturday's debacle.

We got lucky and beat them in OU and I expect this game to be very close. Its so important because going to USCe is a trap game and they are Buzz's Kryptonite. I believe he has more victories vs Kentucky and the gamecocks.

I'd say they got lucky with a very unexpected 34 points from a bench player that averages about 6 points a game. I don't think they can count on anything like that again.

We got lucky Phelps hit for 34 and for them Fears and Moore had 16 together. So the guy going off on us won't happen this time suspect one or both of these guys have a better game. I'm just saying we can't overlook any team we are too bad offensively.

And while efficient defensively we still have to score to get to 60 first and then defend to keep them under 70…
