Is Phelps' performance the best in opponents' arena since Turner?

Phelps was unreal in the second half. The only Aggie men's basketball player in recent years to have a better performance in an opponent's arena was Elston Turner, who scored 40 against Kentucky at Rupp Arena when A&M joined the SEC in 2012. The Ags won 83-71 that day. If I recall correctly, Kentucky fans gave Elston a standing ovation when he was taken out of the game near the end.

Wade dropped 40 at Arkansas last year but we lost the game so hardly anyone remembers it. Very similar performance where it felt like he was getting absolutely no help offensively.

Unfortunately he was out-dueled by Tramon Marks in that game. I think Wade had a few more points than Marks IIRC.

Similar in that way too where the opponent also had a player go off. And that we got way behind and battled all the way back.

Agreed - Turner

Was trying to see when the last time we had someone scored 28 in a half and it was also that game last year at Arkansas, Taylor had 29 in the second half.

Yeah

But the Hogs sucked last year.

Hogs had other things on their minds.
