New year. Same story. His teams can look good in streaks but don't show up when it matters. We shoot like a JH team. Time to start over.

If theres one thing i know about basketball, its that everything is all on the line weeknights in January.

Also zero creativity on the offensive end. Tonight was alternate between Wade and Boots bringing the ball down the floor, like a youth league. Boots drives for a layup and Wade chooses between a layup and a three. Over and over and over.

We aren't a blue blood; we can't fire Buzz. This team is terribly put together but I don't think we can fire Buzz.

This will be the big test for or new AD. It better be do or die.

Sure give him multimillion contract but if his first bball coach doesn't win 20 games then reduce his pay

If I'm Wade, I transfer to a great program for my senior year that needs a solid PG. He deserves so much better than this.

I recommend you try watching the players that dont have the ball when we are on offense.

Yea I agree; outside of Solo and Garcia, we could probably find a better supporting cast from the A&M rec league

Even BK got us into a sweet 16 in year 5. Didn't we hire Buzz to do better? The season isn't over but who seriously thinks we'll get into the sweet 16 this year.

Agree for the most part. We haven't consistently supported this program at a high enough level (as fans and boosters) to match the expectations that some here have. It's great to talk and dream big, but you have to back it up.

And when you have that lack of history, the way to building a program isn't turning on a coach who's brought stability and success. It's consistently supporting a program.

The trajectory of Buzz's tenure and BK's tenure isn't even close, for those making that comparison.

Not to be pedantic, but don't forget there was no tourney in his first season. So this is really only his fourth shot to get us to the Sweet 16. I need to pay to get access to the nerd emoticon.

He gets paid better than a ton of coaches and if Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Mississippi St, Mississippi, and the likes can have substantially better coaches than A&M then A&M can do better than the preacher.

I don't know how anyone has faith in Buzz Williams. Hope is all that is left.

His plan on the last play reminded me of Billy Kennedy. A 5 minute timeout and when the play started, you couldn't tell there was any plan. And Kennedy would hitch thumbs in his pants. And just watch as the other team drove and scored.

Anybody that says Kennedy is a better coach than Buzz is a fool who should only be told "You know nothing" repeatedly on this board like they are Jon Snow

I think we've been above a seven seed only three times ever, so its hardly an issue that can solely be laid at Buzz Williams' feet (especially when he himself has coached more higher seeded teams than that)

This. Nobody is clamoring to coach basketball at a school that doesn't value it much. We're lucky to have him. Sure, get rid of him then go raid the Ohio Valley and Missouri Valley Conferences for a coach you hope can cut it in a major conference. Then repeat every 3 years.

Buzz can't go out there and shoot for us. We shot 30% from the field, on the road, against a team that shot 40. We were down a starter (2 if you count Marble). And we had the game won. Having a shot to win, shooting that bad, is rare. Get over it.

And whose job is it to recruit kids that can shoot?

Whose job is it to improve fundamentals and shooting technique?

The guy is paid top ten coaching salary in the NCAA.

Wouldn't it be nice to sniff the top 25 in year five? Wouldn't it be nice to have a sweet 16 appearance from your top ten pay coach?

Buzz places the most importance and energy in off the court for these kids. And it shows every damn night on the court.

All but two teams in d1 who shoot the three better than us. Our offense consists of a single high ball screen to start the possession and then letting the guards go playground. For top ten money we deserve better.
