This guy, like jimbo, has been given every opportunity to build the program. All he is has to do, because basketball has a small number of players ,is raise 2 million dollars from our entre fan base for NIL to get good players, and like Jimbo, is too slow to embrace that.

Like Jimbo he runs an antiquated system that he wont budge on. He wins some games just because they out hustle some teams. But we havent had an NBA player yet that he has brought in. Kennedy and had 4 or 5.

Dude go out and buy a couplie of great players. It's really that simple. It's OPEN free Agency and you have one of the wealthiest fan bases in the country. Pearl is doing it at Auburn, Beard at Ole Miss. Get with the times.

Too late now, but after the season hire Rick stansbury as an assistant. He is an assistant at Memphis now. He brought in talent here that even Billy Kennedy could coach. Stansberry leaves and BK gets fired.

Buzz probably sees Rick as a threat. This is how the stubborn, insecure coaches lose their edge and eventually their job. Just like Jimbo.

I think this is a wrong assessment. If you are making an argument he can't adapt, the argument should revolve around the changing game on the court, not off the court. The game is becoming a much more offensive game. It's becoming a much more three point shooting game every year.

Marc Ag he constantly talks about his how experienced his staff is. And what a good job they do.

I guess with all that experience they couldn't find guys that could help them this year out of the portal. Total whiff.

He needs to go visit Elko. Elko clearly has a NFL organizational type approach with the portal that looks like a well oiled machine. If you have NIL money you can get good players. He just needs to get with it. Dexter Dennis was a good pick up. Needs more of those.

The staff could be a whole 'nother debate. Buzz does have a staff he has been with for a long time. That's a big plus to him as they know what they are trying to do. I can see that being an advantage as well. But it also means these are guys nobody else is considering for head coaching jobs. And if say Devin Johnson does get a head coaching job one day, I don't see us going out and searching the country for one of the top assistant coaches. It's going to be an internal hire or at the very least somebody in Buzz's circle. Buzz is extremely loyal and likes to keep a tight circle. That's great, but also it limits you.

He has been decent at the portal but atrocious at recruiting HS players. It's insane that we can't get a shooter while plenty of mid-majors have kids that can knock down 3's in their sleep.

The whole "man of god" and "build you into men" schtick just isn't appealing to 18-22 year olds.

He brags about not watching the players and letting his assistants tell him about them. Diarra comes to mind and now Jace Carter. He said Roccaforte saw him and Buzz asks if he could play. Roc said yes and they set their mind to getting Carter on board.

Buzz says he believes in watching players in person. Solo talked about how no coach watched him play live more than Buzz.

Yeah, people need to stop quoting Buzz's little stories as like facts. Buzz's stories are like some bible stories, there might be some facts in there but they're not meant to be taken literally.

This whole narrative comes from people misinterpreting a couple of things Buzz has said. It's not accurate.
