kid has talent but not sure he would be the right fit for us. i do know one thing for sure if you are playing for the name on the back of your jersey instead of the name on the front you won't last long with buzz.

Rumor I saw was that Dixon told Lampkin "I own you".

Sounds like a coach on a power-trip. Insensitive given the context, but also a bit less on the nose than "slaves obey your masters."

If Dixon is "racist" then what about the rest of his players? None of them seem to have an issue. Dixon perhaps is discriminating but it doesn't seem likely it's based on race.

Totally agree. Addressing mental issues is undervalued in our society and it can be very frustrating to try to help others if they don't think they need help. I'm not in any way saying that's the case here. I have no idea.

Attempting to blowup his team and publicly releasing private messages exchanged between staff and his family probably changes the picture A LOT. Buzz isn't bringing that into the lockerroom

I heard they were running 5 on 5 drills with coaches coaching both teams. Dixon was coaching opposite team and they were up and Dixon told the other squad "I/We own you." This is normal trash / jesting talk. If true, this context deescalates the entire deal.

Psychological issues can first show themselves at this age. Remember Thomas Johnson? Not something to play around with, and honestly, I don't see why Buzz would introduce this kind of kid into his perfectly developed basketball culture.
