My LSU basketball thoughts are always about the generational talents they've had go through there. Pistol Pete, Shaq, Bob Pettit, Mahmoud Abdul Chris Jackson Rauf (the original Colin Kaepernick), Ben Simmons, and college level talents like Marcus Thornton, Stromile Swift, and Big Baby Davis

I didn't take the bait on the KSU game but in this case I'm not certain that we can put two good outings together back-to-back.

It will be a toss up for which team shows up. The team that lost to Mizzou, the team that led at the half and got beat by Florida or the team that beat KSU.

I have a feeling that the Mizzou team is going to show up.

On must be "consistent", like this team.

I didn't think of him as a particularly skilled player when he was at LSU. He was a big bodied, physical presence type player who relied on his height for easy dunks and blocks, and his weight to push people around defensively. He was a poor free throw shooter, did not have particulalrly good footwork skills and had practically no mid range or short range shooting skills. Was also not a particularly good steals guy and did not have great ball handling skills.

Could he fill up a stat sheet? Sure-easy to do when you are such a dominant physical presence. That doesn't mean he was some transcendant big man.

If he had somebody to work with him and he was motivated to get the other parts of his game developed, who knows how good he could have been.

Nick Nolte can only do so much.

Deandre is in the same mold now that he's bulked up a bit.

Shaq and transcendent are synonymous with each other, he was obviously a once in a generation talent....

Shaq was far more skilled than DeAndre. Are you serious? He could dribble and pass like a small forward. No he couldn't shoot FTs but the rest of development isnt' even close.
