Zach LaVine is what comes to mind.

Nothing comes to mind. A video guy has a camera to cover this kid and he shows close-up slam dunks? Hey, I guess it serves its purpose as a hype tape, but it gives you little idea about his overall game and skill set as a collegiate prospect.

I little bit of Semi Olijeye. He's a tweener, so that means 3-4 years even if he blows up.

Seems to enjoy the semi-break. Decent handle, can pass. Hard to tell how this translates from HS to D-1. Very very good, but not elite (RW) athleticism. He'll see a lot of PT. Starts if RW leaves, but both RW and Flagg would benefit if they played together.

I went to his game on Tuesday and had a complete scouting report on him along with a lot of highlights over in premium.

Flagg likes the semi-break, dribble drive, ad libbing in the open court. Not an Admon-like outside shot. I like him as a college 3 sharing time with Hogg, with RW, Trocha, Davis holding down the 4/5. If RW leaves it forces Flagg to play some 4 - which would be an issue in conference.

A healthy Hogg's outside threat combined with RW and Flagg keeps pressure on opponents D and takes some heat off Davis.

He makes contact!

Starks has developed muscles. Can he shoot? Gilder and Hogg are outside threats. We need one more, given one or both can be cold. Really prevents those double teams.

The key to next year's squad though is RW...if he can stay.

Sure, I would not blame him for taking $1.5M+ after taxes and tour the nation in an NBADL bus...but

Hell, a month with Johnny could blow all that...there's potential for a order of magnitude more in Benjamin$ if he remains another year. RW has a positive personality and talent that will attract mega advertising $$. Mega. He's smart, grounded, humble. Momma's done a helluva job.

IF Robert Williams remains at A&M, regardless of who is coaching he's going to BLOW UP, as in a totally DOMINANT player at the D-1 level. I see RW LEARNING innately game by game. I see his mind working things out. He's starting to direct traffic on defense. He's putting himself in the right position. Leadership is emerging.

But his body and mind are just maturing. He's a kid, playing a kid's game...but not a man yet ready for the NBA...still has fawn-like qualities.

With a year of maturity, working out, etc. He's going to BEAST his Soph year. Maybe will have that midrange...with Caldwell, Flagg, etc. on the semi-break it could be Showtime. If the circumstances are right, it could be really special.

Feel the Buzz.
