Why would you want to give up points on a technical in a close game? I saw him the refs on multiple occasions.

Actually encouraged to see Billy yelling at the officials twice this game.

Agree with Cosmic- Billy has picked it up at least bit yelling at refs.

When we lost Jalen's bucket on the clear bogus call, that's when BK needs to walk out and show EXACTLY where the feet were planted. We've already lost the ball, so a Technical Foul doesn't cause a possession loss and COULD HAVE SAVED 1 or BOTH Calls against Caruso.

In addition, yell at your players as well as the ref not to play out of control (Jalen wasn't - that was a great move) but Caruso was way out of control.

There are no dominant MBB teams this year, but now ISU becomes a Must Win to stay in the Top 10.

I may be an outlier, but I rather like Billy staying calm. I'm much more of a hot head and have never seen it help.

That call on jones was ridiculous. If billy takes a t there you would hope that both the ticky tack 5th on Jones and the questionable charge on Caruso go the other way.

And regardless the kids need to know their coach will stick up for them. Not a doubt in my mind that call on Jones cost us the game. You can't let that go.

Hardly, he sat on the bench most of the first half. The refs were horrible, they had more bad calls than good ones in the second half.

Going nuts on the ref can go 3 ways.

1. the refs can take it personally and be your worst enemy
2. they can listen and adjust
3. they don't change at all.

I'm of the mindset that a calm word helps more than going ballistic because it almost eliminates option 1.

Well you can be of that mindset if you want, but clearly the bad calls continued after the blown charge call on Jones.

Having witnessed it firsthand, Kennedy has been animated, loud, on on the refs at a lot of points this season.

Usually getting a technical involves some magic, personal words. You can lean on the refs and get on their case without getting a technical. Also, getting T'd up there wouldn't have done us any good.

I think if you want to be on Kennedy's case, you need a different standard now. I don't think this one applies anymore.
