I live in College Station. When I was on Direct TV, I used to watch our games when on the Big 12 Network. Since we recently switched to Dish Network, I can't find the Big 12 Network. FYI I have the Classic Gold 250 package, comparable to what I had on Direct TV.

Does anyone know what channel this is? Or if these games are even on Dish Network. I've tried all the 400+ channels/Alternative channels.

I would have gone to the game but I had kids activities to go to, and was going to record the game and watch it when I got home.

Do you have HD? If so, plug an antenna into your receiver and it is channel 3.2.

The Big 12 Network is carried by local affiliates in each market.

For example, in Houston, you're most likely to find "Big 12 Network" games in channel 51 or 55.

Turkey - did you just recently switch to DISH? If you have an HD receiver, even without an HDTV, you can pick up digital local subchannels (of course with the help of a cheap over the air antenna).

We get several local channels through Dish Network (ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, Fox, and maybe an independent station or two), but the Big 12 network games aren't on any of these stations.

It was on my Dish channel 407 or something, but they wanted $79.95 to watch it.

Last night's game was on Altitude (Channel 410) and MASN (Channel 424). Both of those networks normally carry all of the Big 12 Network games. In order to access these, you need the Multi-Sport package, which is $5.99/month.

I had no issues getting these games on the Big 12 network via DISH last year. The game last night was big 12, but not shown for some reason. The next game against Colorado is Big 12, and is showing on the local San Antonio station.

It made no sense the OU game was not on for free last night.

It's definitely worth the $5.99 for the multisports package during basketball season.

By the way, just FYI, you can now register at www.dishnetwork.com and add/subtract options from your plan. You can also finally record shows to your DVR from any computer by logging into your account on there. It's about time they finally added this feature...directv had it a long time ago.

Usually the Saturday BIG 12 games are carried by the local Waco stations on DISH.

The cheapest easiest way is to get you a 20 dollar antenna and the converter box and watch it on 3.2. You don't need an HD tv. Converter boxes are about 20-30 dollars and an antenna about 20-30 dollars.

I have Dish Network. The Big 12 Channel is carried as part of the ESPN Gameplan subscription for college basketball that you have to pay an additional fee for and is not a channel that is carried as part of the basic service.

This. You also get NFL Red Zone (during the season) which is awesome.

DisTex - That's what I've noticed too here in west Texas. I get the Saturday games on the Big 12 Network, but the mid-week games aren't picked up. Fortunately, we don't have any more mid-week games on the Big 12 Network.

Channel 631 on Direct TV.

In Dallas, the games are played on TXA 21.

I live in B/CS but get the Houston Direct channels. Not seeing it on any local Houston channel.

Will the gme be blocked outside of the Big12 area again?

If so, what the heck is the logic?
Do they expect me to come from DC to go to the game?
There must be something more logical that I'm missing.
