We double Singletary and that little troll looking dude, Voskuil (sp?) would have lit us up for just as much more than likely. He had the same kind of hot hand shooting the ball against Kansas just last week as what Singletary did tonight. When a player puts their team on their back like that and plays out of his mind, sometimes you just have to except it. The guy was making well contested shots and everything was falling for him.

The Ags played hard and just came up a bit short. After the last 3 weeks of outstanding basketball I have no complaints with this loss tonight. We still have the resume to get into the NCAA tournament and that's all I really care about right now. The conference tournament was just the opportunity to improve our seeding.

Coul;d we not have fouled him whenever he got a good look? Roland did early on, he missed a FT. Hell a few more missed free throws by him and we might have one this game.

OP - Have you seen this game called basketball before? I've coached for years, and like most posters, watched thousands of games at every level possible, and there will be times when guys just get in the zone and go off. There is always something you can do. The performance was beyond amazing, but VERY piss poor response from our players AND especially coaches.

really, no complaints? You aren't even going to complain about the entire team staying in the locker room for the 2nd half? The lack of energy and effort they gave in the 2nd half is absolutely unforgiveable and frankly quite disturbing.

i think it was more of us playing like crap. when we aren't going through a dry spell we play like crap. I blame it on the score board that wasn't working. I think our players thought it was still 29-14.

Only one way to find out if you're right. And if the one in a million chance that Voskuil was just as unbelievably hot, then we still lose. But if he misses a shot or two, then we win.

Refs tonight were calling a very close game. I'm pretty sure foul trouble would've been much much worse if we had double teamed.

Good lord, it wasn't a triple team. We had one guy on him, a second guy closing to about three feet away when he shot, and the third person was at the top of the paint when he was on the low block.

Quit listening the announcer's hyperbole and watch the play. I'm talking a hard double like as soon as the pass to him is in the air someone is crashing down hard on him and suffocating him, not the pansy ass soft double we ran at him once or twice for token effect.

He needed fouled a couple times hard. Nothing dirty just hard ball. He isn't mentally tough and would have turtled.

He hit 2 3 pointers ALL YEAR and he gets 3 tonight - the last with Walker's hand in his face buried in the corner. He was throwing shots at the rim; they bounced around and went in. Sh%t happens.

This should have been our strategy. Force their team to beat us. Voskuil might have beaten us, but solid single coverage could do wonders for him. You can take 2 players out of a game. Ah well, it really isn't the end of the world. We are in.

You guys can ***** and moan all you want and it won't change a thing. They tried different things to slow the guy down and he still killed us. It's not like we ran the same defense against him time after time after time. It's lot easier to sit here after the game and bag on your team and coaches than to just admit we got beat and move on. I think for most of you guys the only way for you to be happy is to win it all or have an outlet like TexAgs to just ***** and moan on. We put up plenty enough points to win, and didn't have any long scoring droughts like we did in the first part of the season. The defense probably could have played better but I give Texas Tech a lot of credit for never giving up and playing a hell of a game of basketball. All I can say is good game Ags and good luck in the tournament that really matters.

Switching out having Davis guard him by having Roland guard him wasn't some uber defensive adjustment.

Neither was playing along with Tech when they ran a screen and roll (that we were switching every time) so they could get him posted up on BJ freakin' Holmes.

It's a lot easier to sit on here and bag on people who aren't drinking the Turgeon koolaid than actually know or contribute anything to an x's and o's conversation.

Singletary reminded my of Eric Floyd. The Lakers had Golden State down by 20+ at halftime in a playoff game. Floyd goes crazy the 2nd half finished with 51. Didn't matter who the lakers threw at him, cooper, magic, scott they couldn't stop him.

That said if we hadn't gotten sloppy in the second half they never would have gotten rolling.
