They turned it down because you actually have to pay them to play in it
it was a conference decision before the season started. like was said, you have to pay to play in it.
i dont think penders knew that...apparently he turned down a nit bid
When you're U of H, money is no object.
Tech probably couldn't find a sponsor to pay for their admission to the tournament. O'Reilly's was all tapped out.

Doesn't the NCAA control the NIT now? Seems idiotic of Penders if so.
