Anybody else think our late season push in the Big 12 tourney (I personally thought that the team turned it up a notch) was just a sign of things to come in the Big Dance? I think most will agree that this team under-acheived all season, so do you think there is any merit to the theory that you coast thru the season, not revealing TOO much, then you turn it on come tourney time with new things that teams haven't seen before? Just sparking a conversation, so let me hear opininons....

Nobody is saving anything for a later point in time. We were on the cusp of not getting in, which then when we did put us in a low seed. You play your best everytime out and never hold back.

We are simply a hot/cold team who nobody can really predict which will show up on a given day.

Aggies can keep some optimism in that the team played their best ball in the past 3 games, all you can hope is that they continue that trend and give BYU all they can handle and then throw the best punch you have at a superior UCLA team.

Sorry. No way they "coasted through the season" so they didn't show too much. We just barely made it into the tourney. Believe me....those poor performances weren't intentional, and they weren't holding anything back. Let's just hope the good team keeps showing up.

Good points. I chalked up most of our losses as mental lapses and lack of execution. Sloppy passing has riddled this team all season, as well as big men trying to dribble and losing the ball. Catch-turn-shoot. Don't put the ball on the floor (Jordan/Davis). I also think Jones is too apt to pass the ball off. He needs to try that 3-pointer at least 3 times a game to keep the defense honest. It could free him up more to do inside work.

Theres no sandbagging in basketball.

I don't think it was a case of holding back, but I think our guys just play better, for whatever reason, when we're the underdog.
