From what I could see on TV, there was not a soul in the upper tear baselines and it was spotty in the lower tear...for the best player in the nation coming to town. Yet overflowing for the hated Aggies. Man, those folks hate us.

Sounds like us pre-BCG (and now Turge) days.

Why are they so good at home? (other than Hightower being there)

It was pitiful. 7,000 people there, and not many students. Of course, when the Aggies were in town, they had 12,000. Freakin' tards live for their Super Bowl with the Aggies. That being said, they are now 11-0, 4-0 at home this year. 13-10 overall.

It may have been us pre-BCG, but NOW?

Hyperbole, anyone, not to mention NOT TRUE?

I saw where WTA said there were 7,000 people there last night.

No way. The entire upper section was empty, and some of the lower section was empty. I have no clue how much that gym holds, but there is no way there were 7,000 people there.

wow, I did not realize that tech was undefeated at home this year. Hopefully they can knock off the horns later in the year. I dont give them much of a chance against KU though.

You don't know how many the gym holds, yet you are certain there was no way 7,000 people were there. Interesting. The gym holds 15,500. Tech (men's basketball) uses the turnstile count for attendance numbers (unlike the women who use tickets sold to help inflate their numbers). I would say the gym was about half full last night. The lower section was mostly full, and there were a few people in the upper area. 7,000 is probably right on.

If this program reverts back to Melvinesque levels you'll see more empty seats than full seats in a helluva hurry. The vast majority of our fans are there because we've been successful over the past few years. They'll disappear faster than you can imagine if it took a bad turn. Four yrs ago, 7K would be considered a damn good crowd for us.

Ver True..still remember how shocked I was when we played Tech in 2003 and KNight was going for #800 ..it was the first sellout at Reed. I could not believe it walking up and seeing people turned away from an Aggie Basketball game. We have come a long way!
