Went to the Tech/KSU game tonight. I was among the 7,000 strong that saw Pat Knight get his first win. Anyway, Beasley and Walker are outstanding, and will both be in the NBA next year. The rest of the team? Would be lucky to beat Colorado out for 11th place in the league.

They will go south fast once W & B are gone next year. Plus I'm not sold on their coach either.

They have a weird "coach" as well.

Don't hate too much. They kicked our asses and KU's ass.

Anytime you have two NBA players in your lineup, especially with one being possibly the #1 pick, you are going to win a lot of games.

West Texas Ag, they might be bad next year, but, they did manage to get those two guys to come to KSU at some point...no reason why this season won't just make it easier for them to get guys like that again.

I imagine they will fall down for a few years, but, if they just have the tiniest clue of what they are doing, they oughta be able to start building some depth in upcoming years.

We just need them to lose 2 more so that when we win out, we'll be tops in the Big XII

They won't get guys like that again. Bob Huggins was working those two for an entire year when he was unemployed, they would have followed him practically anywhere. Case in point, they ended up in Manhattan, KS. Beasley was going wherever his AAU coach was going, first UNC-Charlotte and then K-State.

That coach looks like a slime ball.

Their team is completely undisciplined but talented. Walker actually looked better than Beasley last night (I think Beasley was a bit rattled by the crowd and Tech's style of play, he never misses dunks and lay-ups like he did last night).

That said I hope they kick tu's ass.

How does their incoming class look for next year?

KSU will be right back down in the bottom half of the Big 12 again next year. Hopefully they make some noise in the NCAAs while they have a chance.

KSU did not sign anybody during the early signing period. Not looking good for next year.

West Tex - I was surprised at the poor attendance at Lubbock. Looks like the fans have virtually abandoned the men's team. The paper said there were over 11,000 for our women's game at Tech. Do you think the fans will be back for the tu game?

The downfall od kst after this season will be funny. Must suck to be a fan and know that you have nothing to look forward to after this year in BB.

I thought the same thing. I heard in a broadcast early in the season that he's Cuban (not Italian) and apparently has an interesting life story.

They may pick up a player or two after Beasely and Walker announce for the draft. They do already have two top 100 players committed for 2009. As long as Delonte Hill is there, they're going to get talented athletes.
