We are 18-4. We need 12 more victories to reach 30.

Personally, I think unless we have a complete meltdown, we're in The Tourney... probably no worse than a #8 Seed (assuming a mediocre finish). I think it is likely we'll finish with 30 Wins.

Some of you might recommend me *tapping the brakes*.

W Nebraska (13-6) - I just don't see us losing to them at home.

W TTU (12-8) - They always play us tough, but we have too much talent.

W @Baylor (16-4) - Redemption/Pay Back.

W Kansas (21-1) - This game will be for a #1 Seed, and we'll have a ton of buzz on campus.

So, with the remaining 9 games, I think we'll snag at least 7 Ws... certainly 8... hopeully 9.

If we only get 7, that puts us at 25-6/11-5, and I suspect a #2 or #3 Seed in BXII Tourney. We'll face a #6-10 Seed, and likely win that game.

If we are as low as a 3-4 Seed in the NCAA Tourney, we'll win at least the 1st game... probably the 2nd...

So, that gives us at least 11 games... as many as 18 (9+3BXII+6NCAA).

If we go 8-1, 2 in BXII, and 2 in NCAA - That gives us 12 Wins.

Is last year's 27 Ws our all time record?

I would love to see that happen, but in no way do I think we win out or only lose 1 more game in conference. Sure it could happen, but neither one of our games this week is a guaranteed win for sure

Well, this is obviously a "best case" senario. I would crap all over the walls if we had those results.

Hell, I see no reason a 35 win season isn't possible... We'll easily win the rest of our regular season games, sweep the Big 12 tourney and I don't see any teams around capable of knocking us out of the NCAA tourney.

I could see it, but all things must fall into place for it to be so. Most important is Free Throw Shooting %. We need to get that up to be able to win in any tournament. We also still need leadership from our guard position. I know they have been better, but someone needs to step up even more.

@tu, @ou, and KU are the obvious toss ups. @ baylor and tceh could be considered as such, but i don't think we're going to play as badly against them as we did the first time around.

Beating tu in austin is going to take a tremendous effort, as we're bound to see the most ticky tack called game against us as we will all year, similar to last year.

I think we'll beat OU in Norman in a game similar to Saturday's.

KSU proved KU is human and we play them at home.

I just hope we can beat Iowa State this week. I would be estatic if we beat Missouri on their home court. Neither game will be easy.

. . .and I was debating the merits of posting a thread discussing the chances of a #1 finish in the Big XII.

On the one hand, this discussion could be seen as silly and a waste of time. But on the other, I think that the thoughts of actually intelligently discussing and debating this possibility ranks MUCH higher than doing the same for some of the other threads in this forum. . .

(personally, I love it when people take the time to post a response to a thread stating how stupid it would for anyone to reply. . .and then 20 more people do it!)

I'm not sure why we lose to Texas Tech in every sport imagineable, almost every single game, yet you have a W firmly placed in our favor for that game.

My only correction would be that we have a distinct possibility of losing to OU and are probably going to lose to KU. I do think we get redemption against Baylor and TTU, but I am always optimistic.

It should be good experience this week with 2 easy road games. We need experience on the road and we got thrown in the fire against ttu and ksu. This is still the first year under Turgeon, the team should improve as they go.

mizzou has been very good at home, and are still a tough road game. they lost to ku by 6, beat tu badly, and just beat k state (even with missing players).

it is beyond me why people keep marking this down as a win, and saying it is an easy game. i know they are missing players (they have gotten some back), but its a very tough place to play. i think we can win, but i am worried about this one. i will not be suprised if we lose. this will be a tougher game than playing at okie lite this year.

They beat KSU 77-74, at home.

K-State was 10-20 from FT. I think we'll find that for ALL Beasley has been, isn't this where a Fish starts to wear down?! He has averaged 30 mins/game.

I think Tech will rally for a few games, and then plummet for several. By the time the face us, I think we'll be fine. But, like I said above, they always play us tough.

I think we have played in some great games, and this team has made tremendous progress. When your team loses 3 in a row in conference, under a new HC, and then bounces back to beat a few solid teams, things are looking good.

We'll find out tomorrow night, I suppose.

That is a best-case scenario where we simply do not have another bad game. But we surely will. We barely beat an unranked OU when playing them at home. You're drinking more than koolaid, son.
