Did Texas get exposed?

Just curious as to yalls thoughts on the matter. I heard one of the reporters ask augustine after the game if more teams will try to rotate on him and have one guy lock down on abrams the entire game. Probably easier said than done but looks like all it takes to confuse their offense.

If Augustin can't get in the lane and then isn't hitting the outside shots with consistency, they have no offense. We exposed by saying don't let Augustin in the lane, and show on all high ball screens so that he doesn't get open 3's

They have a weakness that ive been following this whole year.

When DJ sits on the bench, the longhorns look lost and aimless on offense. And it goes as well, when you shut him down, their offense grinds to a halt.

A&M beat Texas in almost exactly the same way that Wisconsin beat Texas.

In that way I would say that Wisconsin exposed them and A&M took advantage of that.

their offense looks lost and aimless all the time. dj dribbles around and as the shot clock winds down, he gets into the lane and either:

1. gets fouled.
2. scores
3. kicks it to a wide open shooter

that is the only offense i've seen from them all year. to dj's credit, it has worked and they have beaten some very good teams. it's just a wonder to me that they have beaten who they have beaten.

I would not say that tu was exposed, since most people realize that if you are able to contain Augustin and keep him out of the lane, then you will be successful. We were just able to implement the plan really well.

Texas seems a lot like Tennessee-lite to me.

If their jump shots are falling, they will dominate.

But with no true inside presence in those "grind-'em out" games, if their jump shots aren't falling they get into trouble... As much as they want him to be, Atchley is not a guy that is going to get it done down low the entire season.

That's why I believe we may end up being legitimately better than them if we can get our jump shots to start falling. That's what good teams are able to do -- if the inside game (Jones/Jordan/Davis/etc...) isn't working, the jump shooting is -- and vice versa.
