When muting a someone who is an OP, when I go in to the thread their post is muted. However it would be nice if the post didn't show up at all in the forum. People like "ghost of bizbee" blasts a dozen new posts per day about lsu coach and it would be really nice and clean things up if I didn't have to see all that BS.

I have requested this multiple times. Once Brandon actually responded and said it would be difficult programmatically. It's a real shame and makes the mute function nearly worthless because as you point out someone always quotes the muted poster so one ends up having to endure their mindless drivel anyway.
