Any chance you guys can add a Y/N checkbox when you are creating a thread (or replying to a thread) so that you are notified (via email) when someone posts in the same thread? The checkbox would give you the option to turn it on/off for every post. That way you would know that someone has posted a new post in the thread.

not a feature we intend to develop via email, but if we can find enough space to get a native mobile app out, we'll be sure that on the list for mobile notifications.
