Just got a Blackstone, yes, I realize it's just a big griddle, but thought I'd see if anyone here had some "go-to" recipes that are crowd pleasers?

Philly cheese steaks. Look at blackstone recipe. Get frozen pre-packaged sliced sirloin made by heb.

It's more about learning to use the Blackstone and griddle technique. Just about anything you can cook in a pan, wok, or grill works well on a Blackstone, you just have to learn how to use it.

Try George Motz' Oklahoma Onion burger for a 5 ingredient warm up. Hibachi fried rice would be another good one.

Our favorites are smash burgers, cheesesteaks, and quesadillas.

You can also make giant pancakes if you've got a spatula to flip them.

I use the above but rather than crisping under a broiler I toss it on the Blackstone until it's crispy like I like. I'll usually pour most of the juice from the baking dish on the griddle too to get some extra flavor/deglazing in there. I skip the vegetable oil. I've never felt like the pork needs more fat.

I do this but since I'm hoity-toity I use the sliced shabu shabu from Costco. I can get it the meat super crispy but not over cooked. Cook the meat, onions, and peppers separately on the Blackstone, then toast a hoagie and top with whatever cheese, onions, and peppers the individual wants all on the Blackstone.

Ooh I'll have to look for that at Costco next time.

You'll love it and use it a lot. I've started intentionally making too much rice so that I'll have leftover for fried rice or jambalaya on the Blackstone the next day or so.

Cheesesteaks
Smashburgers
Fish or shrimp a la plancha
Potstickers
Stir fried everything
Breakfast

It's great for cooking for a crowd (or a family of 5 like mine) -- when even your biggest pans aren't going to cut it. Also the best "one pot" device out there. Cook everything at once. No inside cleanup.
