What is on your kid's menu?

We don't make a different meal for our kids, but we do take suggestions. Like we give them a choice of vegetable sides and they get to pick the one they want, and they have to eat it. Similarly each gets to choose the entire meal once a week.

Lately we have been getting the same ol' same ol' from both of or boys, so I am curious what your kids like from the kitchen. They used to be so adventurous and open to a ton of meals but have started turning their noses up to long time staples.

The 9 year old boy wants grilled or fried seafood, peas, hasselback potatoes, steak, chicken pot pie, but has started to turn down anything else like Italian American, stir fry, roasts, pork other than sausage, all other chicken.

The 6 year old only wants raw carrots, salmon, crab, brisket, sausage, cornbread, but is basically boycotting anything else and has gone to bed without dinner multiple times over the past month.

So the question again, what are some of the meals your kids love? Maybe I can find something else they would like that I have not thought of.

We have 7yr & 4yr girls. We also don't make them different meals. They eat what we're having and if they don't eat then they can have plain greek yogurt prior to bed. Most times they will eat all or some of their meal. They like:
spaghetti & meat sauce or meatballs w/ a salad
taco night w/ ground beef, cheese, guac, sour cream, refried beans & rice
fajita night w/ steak or chicken w/ cheese, guac, sour cream, refried beans & rice
salmon w/ an amazing orzo recipe w/ salad
fish sticks (I still can't get them to try fried shrimp or catfish, etc)
costco rotisserie chicken w/ rice or mashed potatoes and a green veggie
beef tips w/ egg noodles (easy crockpot recipe)
breakfast for dinner (pancakes, eggs, bacon & sausage)
make your own pizza night
grilled steak, pork chop, teriyaki thighs
Continue to put different foods in front of them and eventually they will try it and might like it. Its just a phase!

Interesting question. And not sure of the answer. I have 5 and 7 year old granddaughters. They are very adventurous eaters. I do think they have been expected to eat what was presented from an early age. if presented with a plate of strawberries and cherry tomatoes, they will eat the tomatoes first. And love to pick vegtables from the garden and eat them raw. Venison, oysters and beef tongue are things they have eaten in the last month. Maybe just lucky.

no Italian? Your kids won't eat pizza, spaghetti, alfredo, chicken parm?

A meal I do often is sausage, rice and veggies.. basically a jambalaya. I've done etouffee as well but that's a bit more work.
Philly cheese steak is also really easy (shaved steak from the store)
Bake some store bought meatballs and add whatever your want.
Tacos/fajitas
Grilled chicken with potatoes and veggies was a staple for us the last few years. We stopped doing it for a while, I think it's time I bring it back!
Teriyaki chicken is easy too.
