Looking for advice on making the trip to Snow's, as in best time to get there, can you bring beverages and cards while you wait, etc?

Been at 8:30 and was 120 in line and ate at 10:30 or so.

Been at 7:30 and was like 40ish. We were on the porch.

Last time we went at 7:30 and the line was easily 200 long and no place to park within 4 blocks. There were lots of RVs and it was obvious people had spent the night there. That time we turned around and came home.

Order in advance, you can't eat on site if you pre-order, so being a table/chairs/cooler and have a nice lunch in the near by park and beat the heat.

Otherwise if going in cooler months do as others have suggested. Last time I was there you could bring cards/cooler.

Where did you find a pre-order option? I found a buy online option, but that ships to you via UPS.

You just call them, I have done it twice and try to get ordered by Wednesday before the Saturday you want to pick up. There are a couple threads about it.

Got there around 5am the time we went and we were like 20th. Brought a cooler and essentially turned into a mini tailgate. Cool experience but wouldn't do it again IMO. Thought the bbq was just ok

Can walk right up normally on a rainy-ish day. My hunting dog's breeder/trainer was down in Lexington and we went to work with her one Saturday. It happened to be a bit rainy and we walked right up at about 11 with no wait.

But the order ahead option is the most consistent.
