I have learned of this New Orleans dish relatively recently and want to make it for the first time. Based on my research I need spaghetti, some kind of protein (cubed/sliced chuck roast is the most common I have come across) but you can also add shrimp, pork, crawfish, andouille, crab, etc, beef broth, a boiled egg, and some green onions, and some creole/cajun seasonings. Seems pretty straightforward and I can just season to my preferred taste.

Does anyone have a can't miss recipe or any suggestions? Looking forward to a creole version of Pho.

You'll find plenty of recipes online if you look up Ol' Sober, too

I'm guessing just like ramen or pho, the broth is the main character.

Haven't made this, but Chef John doesn't make bad dishes.

Got this simmering on the stove top now.

EDIT: It was good. Kids hated it, but they hate anything different, so that's not saying much.
