I am new to the world of Pellet Grills. I have had my eye on the Recteq Bulls Eye, however I noticed a "sale" for a Camp Chef model that matched the Bulls Eye Price.

Like I said, I am new to the world of Pellet Grills - I will likely use more for traditional grilling than smoking, but would like to learn some of the basics about smoking. I don't need anything fancy, just something well built, dependable and easy to clean that won't need to be replaced anytime soon.

For just a bit more I'd suggest going to bbqguys.com and getting a GMG Daniel Boone while supplies last. They upgraded the DB to a Ledge model in the new product line so they're phasing out the DB. You can get them for $600 and it's a really good pellet grill.

I bought a Z-Man for nephews in college. They liked it enough that I decided to buy one for my condo. I liked it enough that I bought another one for my house

If you are looking for a grill that can smoke, go with a kamado or Weber kettle. Pellet grills are not nearly as good for grilling, the only thing they are good for is long cooks where you don't want to mess with managing a fire.

Never had food from a pellet smoker but I do have a WSM with a bbq guru and it turns out damn good bbq. If you're primarily grilling and doing shorter cooks then you should consider a Weber kettle or gas grill as well.

I have a Weber gas grill for grilling and a GMG pellet smoker for smoking. They both have their purposes and do what I need them to very well. An all in one device will leave you dissatisfied

I have the Camp Chef Woodwind and it is great for what it is.

I chose the grill side accessory but might have chosen the pizza oven one if I had to do it over.

You might want to consider a Masterbuilt Gravity Series charcoal smoker/grill. Temp control range 150-700 DegF. Main grates are reversible for smoking/searing. The MB800 comes with a griddle insert so that it can be used similarly to a Blackstone.
I am not the Six Million Dollar Man, but I might need that surgery. "We have the technology, we can rebuild him!"
