Been asked by a family member to provide sliders at a small wedding reception next month. Problem is I'll have no way to cook the day of so will need to prepare in advance and just heat up. My go-to on something like this is pulled pork with a slaw but I was curious about other options. Always nice to have two choices. TIA!

I think buffalo chicken sliders would be good

but I am the person that had buffalo wings, tacos, and egg rolls at my reception.

I might not have the best food mindset because of that

Crack chicken (chicken, ranch seasoning, cream cheese, bacon, and cheddar) on Hawaiian rolls. Buy the shredded chicken breast in bags at Costco and keep warm in crockpot.

Your go-to is the right approach, since pulled pork can be steamed to reheat and still be good.

This is your chance to get out of dressing up for the wedding and going part.

How many people is "small"? To some it's 8, and to others it's 60.

I would also use this as an excuse to BBQ instead of suiting up. I would probably do smoked pork belly burnt end sliders.

Fair question. I'm guessing around 35 people. Mine won't be the only food served, will be the usual fruit and cheese plates, cake, etc.

Appreciate all the suggestions!

I'd do Muffuletta Sliders. They'll actually get better overnight.

Also, resist this urge, wherever it's coming from, to serve 'hot' sliders. Doesn't matter it it's pulled pork, meatballs, Burgers, Buffalo chicken, etc. If you have to make them ahead of time, put them in the fridge overnight, re-warm them, and then set them back out where they will return to room temp, whatever it is won't be great.

On the other hand, if you can keep the filling warm in a crock pot and then let guests build their own at the reception, you'll be fine.

Cant really make these too far in advance because the bread will get soggy from the marinara but these are really good and easy to make for groups of people, especially if you use frozen meatballs.

Also you could buy the kings Hawaiian rolls that are connected and then cut them in half from the side and fill it with philly cheesesteak meats and put cheese on it and then put the top section of the bread on it. Then people can just pull each slider apart.

Hawaiian King Roll Ham & Cheese sliders are dead simple and a crowd pleaser. Great for potlucks, tailgates, game watching parties, or whatever.

This was going to be my response, but was beat to it. These Ham and Cheese sliders are very easy to make and they are full of flavor. We almost always assemble them a day or 2 in advance and heat before serving.
