I am relatively clueless about these wireless meat thermometers. I want one that I can go into town and still see on my phone the temperature. Any suggestions?

Thermapen makes the best temp monitors. EOT.

ThermoWorks Smoke vs Signals vs ThermoPro TP20

You can add the gateway to the Smoke for OP.

Thoughts?

ThermoWorks signals or smoke w/billows are the only ones I know of that is true WiFi that is only a probe thermometer. There are a few options for devices that help control temp and have leave in probes.

The ThermoPro TP20 is wireless, but it is just between the base with the probes and the monitor. There's not an app or a way to check on it remotely from your smart phone.

The meater works great for internal temps. The ambient temp sensor isn't always accurate but internal is. With the meater+ you need a device like an iPad to bridge to your WiFi network. Not having any wires is great. I use the meater during the cook and when meat is resting in a cooler. No wires are convenient there.

My go to is my FireBoard thermometer. I use it to control my egg temp and it has 6 probe ports.

The Fireboard is great. Paired with a blower, it makes the whole thing way too easy.
