I made the Cabbage & Beef Casserole recently shown on A Chef's Life and it was a winner. It does not take cooking experience and is really easy, and it is a WINNER! IMO

1/2 chopped cabbage
1/2 onion.... chopped
2 stalks celery....chopped
1 lb ground beef
1 Potato (I used red) peeled and sliced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of cheddar soup.... or equivalent shredded cheddar.

Place chopped cabbage in bottom of casserole dish.
Place a layer of sliced potatoes on top of cabbage
Brown beef, and sautee onions and celery. Drain grease from beef.
Add the 2 cans of soup to the beef, onions, and celery and mix it up. Spoon mixture on top of the potatoes.
Bake at 350 for an hour.... The TV show said 50 minutes covered and 10 minutes uncovered.

That's it. I added some salt & pepper. This is great comfort food and you can adapt just about anything else you want into it. After you do this once it is so easy to change the quantities to suit yourself.
