I have the igrill2 and love it.

Extremely accurate and easy to use.

I use mine mostly with a smoker, one probe in the meat and one set to temperature range for the ambient temp inside the smoker.

You and me both. Was a little disappointed with the latest update. I thought they were shipping this month, but it appears they have more development going on before they go into full production.

I was expecting to have it this month. Oh well. Hopefully its worth the wait. I have enough to get me by.

I ordered the Meater block and was thinking it would ship in March. Hope it doesn't delay past that

Same here. I will cross check temps with my thermapen and they never vary by more than 5 degrees.

Third. Use them the same way. Works great in the heat of the summer or while watching football. I need to order another probe for a second cut of meat.

That looks really slick. Think I will wait another couple of months before I order. The wireless probes would really be nice.

Fourth. Have it linked to my mini iPad, easy to read and alarms make it almost foolproof.

Just got a mini. Seems to be really easy to use with a sufficiently far signal.

Raspberry Pi, a MPC3008 A/D, some resistors and probes (up to 8 with a single MPC3008). Build you own !

Some of us were Ag majors and not an option here without an instructable or you tube. Sounds good though with that many probes.

Thank you! I have an IT buddy that I cook with, so we may have a new project.

I've had the iGrill2 for a while now and love it. I ended up getting a couple more probes and one ambient probe. I use all 4 almost all the time. The ambient probe is great as you can accurately read the temp on the various levels and adjust meats accordingly. The meat probes are very accurate (as others have said). I, too, double check mine with my thermapen and they are nearly always the same.

The best part is linking to the iPhone and being able to continually check temps no matter where I am in the house or outside. I also love the graphs and have even downloaded mine, converting to excel, and made notes as to what all I was doing, what the outside temp was, when I added wood to the heatbox, etc. Really great if you love gadgets and love smoking!

Hopefully #2 version works better than the original. I have an original, and it has several problems:

1) Bluetooth range is poor. Signal does not penetrate very far into the house.
2) Software isn't very good. I like to set alarms to make sure my smoker is keeping within range so I can catch some shuteye on a long smoke. Frequently, the alarms do not go off on my tablet.
3) The unit itself frequently will start beeping for not concern able reason and will not stop without a reset.
4) Can't keep batteries in the unit when its not being used - it seems to eat them even when off.

That's why I've built my own using a Raspberry Pi. Wireless range is much farther than the Bluetooth I wrote my own software (including an iphone app), plus easy access from any web-browser.

I have not experienced those problems with the igrill2.

Noticed this weekend Sam's had the Igrill2 with 4 probes for $80.

I believe the normal prices is $99 with 2 probes, so that is a pretty good deal.

Not a wireless thermometer but thermoworks has their thermo pops on sale today for $22.

These are the guys that make the thermo pen. This one is fast but not as fast.

That is a damn good deal. I'm pretty sure I paid over $99 for mine with 2 probes.

That sucks...had my eye on those as well but missed the initial offering.

Welcome to Kickstarter. I've had that happen to me with a couple of projects. These guys never seem to understand the old adage: "under promise and over deliver"

If you're talking about Meater, I'm starting to get a little pissed too. Was supposed to ship in January and now it seems it could be next January.
