Buying Beer in Bulk?

Anybody have any recommendations for buying beer in bulk? Need to potentially purchase 1-2k beers for an event. I've thought about Sam's Club and ordering ahead. Would distributors be able to sell to a regular, non-business owner guy like me?

Go to a smaller liquor store and tell them how much you are going to buy and ask if they can cut you a discount. We did this for Chilifest every year and it was the best price. They can't give you a huge discount, but I think it was like $1 an 18 packish.

You should be able to get a good discount if you can pick it up at the retailer the day it arrives. You'll have to call around a couple of places to get a good price though. They should be willing to do an x percent above their cost since it is already sold.

And a distributor can't sell directly to the end consumer. Texas has a 3 party system in place. Distributor - Retailer - Buyer

Sam's club has high beer prices bc anyone can buy there no membership required try a twin liquors or high volume liquor store in your area
