Anyone have a good recipe for mexican martinis?

3 parts tequila (I like anejo for martinis)
1.5 parts key lime juice (if you use juice from the big ones, you'll need to add a few drops of simple syrup to taste)
1.5 parts of orange liqueur

Shake w ice. Strain into martini glass w salted rim. Top w two toothpicked olives and a few drops of olive juice/brine floated on top.

Take for favorite margarita recipe, and serve it up, not on ice. Your friends may say that it tastes just like a margarita, and that is because it is.

that works too. for margaritas, I don't use orange liqueur, just simple syrup. I also dilute with 1 part light lager and of course no olives.

but that is just preference. minus the olives and stemware, it is the same drink.

The Martinez from Perini Ranch in Buffalo Gap

salted rim

2 parts tequila
1 part triple sec
1 part pickled jalapeno juice
the jap juice adds some bite

then they include a Dos XX that you chase it with

WTF, that Trudy's recipe is the EXACT recipe I developed as my "lazy man's margarita." Copycats!

It is pretty tasty, though.

I love Trudy's man. May have to give that a try at home.

Add some olive juice to the recipe linked on that food website and you have The exact taste of Trudy's without having a two hacker limit

I've been using that Trudy's recipe for about two years now. Tasty stuff.

Tequila, lime, and sugar makes a classic daiquiri with tequila. A margarita is defined by the use of Orange liqueur.

The basic margarita recipe is 2-1-1 parts of Tequila (I prefer blanco), Cointreau, and lime juice. A dash of simple syrup or agave nectar to taste for sweetness is preferred.

As posted above, to make it a Martini, shake it with ice and strain into a martini glass. It is still a margarita but has much less ice dilution. Then a few olives and you're done

Fair enough... I will be sure to correct any party guests when they ask me to make them another "margarita."
