I will be in BCS in a couple of weeks. I will be with the wife and I am looking for something new/really good in the way of a restaurant for dinner. Any suggestions?

I vote Shipwreck for seafood, Casa Rod for Tex Mex, Sodolaks for home cookin, La Bodega for Baja Mexican, Koppe Bridge or Daily Ruckus for burgers, Luigi's for Italian.

The Republic is hands down the best food in town. Christophers is nice too. Muy favorite Mexican is Coco Loco. The tacos Al Carbon are delicious plus great salsa. La Riviera is my favorite place to get deserts. Their food is decent too. Cafe Excell is good too. (Pizza desert, and other dishes). Blue Baker for sandwiches, soups, breads, cookies, and pizza.

is that place, Madden's still open? in Bryan? when i'm in town, Christopher's is my go-to, can't go wrong with them.

1) Veritas. 2) Republic. 3) Maddens. /break/ 4) Christopher's 5) A number of lesser places based on the type of food you want to eat.

If a steak place is your idea of a nice rest and great food, Republic is your place. Also has best Bourbon selection in the State and a fantastic bar.

Maddens is great but in downtown Bryan. No bar (just wine) so if you want cocktails it's out. Great food though. A little more casual setting. Nice, but different atmosphere.

IMO Veritas is best overall place in BCS with everything all in especially if you like an Asian/French/American fusion thing. Best "quality" food.

Can't go wrong with any of the top three.

Forgot about Madden's.

Would put it 4th and slide Cafe Eccel to 5.

Sorry, I always get the center NY strip steak at the Republic.

I never get strip when I can eat Filet Mignon.

Republic is my #1 choice with Christopher's a far #2 choice. Of course, most times I'd rather go to Pepe's.

The Republic was great but I personally still like Christopher's more.

A bit more of a dining experience.
