When you are at a sporting event and the national anthem is played do you salute or just remove your cap and stand?

Question for veterans

I've saluted ever since they changed the Flag Code. However, I find it odd that Veterans salute (I dont') for the Pledge of Allegience. In all honesty, I do not recall ever being in uniform during 21 yeasrs of AD and ANG, where the Pledge was recited.
Remove cap and stand if not in uniform.
Hand over heart. Don't salute. Won't besmirch those that do though.
I salute for the national anthem.
I salute with a cover on my head for the national anthem.

I also insure I am wearing an appropriate patriotic cap (military, A&M, etc) when I attend an event where I anticipate the Anthem being played.
Stand at attention
About 20 years ago, Congress passed a law that allows veterans to salute. I'm still Active-Duty, but if I'm at a sporting event and I am in civilian clothes, I will salute. I also salute while in uniform as well.
I'm still active, but I don't anticipate saluting as a veteran not in any uniform. I generally don't like attention. Maybe if I'm in a crowd of other veterans, but not if by myself.
Former 50's and 60's brat, do they still play the National Anthem at on base movie theaters and do people still stand? We did has brats and we even stopped what we were doing outside if we heard taps played in the evening.
They still did that at the last Navy base where I saw a movie in 2019. There are not too many on base movie theaters any more though.
Late to the party, but I don't salute. I try not to advertise I was in the military. Nothing wrong with those that do, just personal preference.

Then, at Aggie football games, I place my hat over my heart for Texas Our Texas.
If you want to be a little depressed, just look at the Cadets in Kyle during Texas Our Texas - especially the Fish seating area. Lots of milling around, talking, and phone gazing.

If able, I stand at attention for the national anthem. Hand over heart for the pledge.
Walk softly and carry a big stick! Make sure the big stick makes big boom noises and flashy bright lights.
I absolutely do not. My wife likes to annoy me and elbow me if we are somewhere and that happens, but mainly because she likes to be a PITA.
I will caveat and say though, I do have my PH plates on display because of free toll roads.
