The Soviet Union's successful test of an atomic bomb in 1949 changed the balance of power, making the threat of atomic attack part of everyday life in the West. In response, Truman announced that the US will develop an even deadlier weapon: the hydrogen bomb. Backed by the Soviets and the Chinese, North Korea crosses into South Korea with the aim of unifying the peninsula under the banner of communism. In response, the war-weary West must, once again, take up arms against naked aggression. The gloves come off and the Cold War goes hot in the cauldron that has become known as The Forgotten War - the Korean War.
