When I was a fish in 1980 I was told a story why company I-1 has ord-ord-ord-ord in their Outfit hump-it.

Always was skeptical but it's such a good story , it has to have a little truth.

Just curious if there are any 1970s era I-1 members that can confirm the legend.

Supposedly an upperclassman in I-1 or another Crunchy outfit was having intimate relations with his girlfriend. She allegedly was loudly exclaiming Oh Lord, OH LORD, ORD, ORD, ORD, ORD.

The next day at formation, Red-Eye One added ORD, ORD, ORD, ORD to the hump it.

Truth ????

That's the story we heard in 1983-87

I remember some outfit was split to form Redeye One my junior year. We have our … 50 year (ouch) reunion starting tomorrow. I will see if I can get you an answer. Unfortunately, a quick comparison of reunion attendees vs my 1971 Aggieland, I don't see any matches. Sadly, one Redeye One friend was Greg Pappas who was killed in an auto accident a number of years ago. He was part of the Pappas Restaurant Family.

Your story is so good, do you really want the real story? Sometimes fiction is better than reality?

Another good one is the brick from the Duncan side corner of Dorm 9 where supposedly I-1 lived when Dorm 9 got struck by lightning.

A-Battery has a passdown brick with the inscription "God hates I-1"

I remember that storm and lightning strike, just don't remember the year.

I know I1 was in Dorm 9 1983-84 for sure

One of the quad dorms got hit by lightning on a weekend day in 1980-1981.
I was walking back from the laundry by Duncan with my laundry in a duffel bag and saw it hit.
I used to have a piece of the brick.

I find that story to be highly suspect. Based on the I-1 guys I knew in the Corps, it's doubtful that anyone from that outfit ever got laid in college.

I talked to two Red Eye One guys at the reunion. I would suggest you stay with your story

"Ransom Stoddard: You're not going to use the story, Mr. Scott?

Maxwell Scott: No, sir. This is the West, sir. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend."

I'm curious to see how this story plays out. As of right now, it has all the earmarks of an Aggie Bourbon Legend.
The person that is not willing to fight and die, if need be, for his country has no right to life.

I was in I-1, class of 78. First, I can't speak for others, but I got laid. Second, I never heard that story the OP shared.
