Excellent read from the Russian build up in Afghanistan to 9/11.

Makes you realize how long we've been screwing up things over there. Biden's just another part of a 20 year snafu; maybe the worst part. About the only thing we did right was kill OBL.

I would encourage anyone interested in the region to read this book.

Coll also gave an interview on NPR about a week ago, incredibly interesting and insightful.
