Have any Ags been SEALs? I don't spend much time on this board so pardon the stranger's question.

Doesn't the Corps have an outfit of potential Seals ?

Yes there is a good handful that went on to be seals.. The corps special unit, seal platoon, is open to cadets and non regs. It is meant to prepare those wanting to go to BUDs after their time at A&M.

Thanks to both of you. Figured there would be.

I watched a multi-part series on youtube recently and found the training fascinating.

I think it's at least a decade or so old and follows BUDS class 234.

Real good friend of mine was the C/O of seal platoon this past school year. Outstanding, hard working and smart individual. He's attending a 3 week SEAL training "prep session" to see if he will qualify to attend the actual BUDs training.

During the time my son '09 was in the Corps, seems like at least three Ags got a shot at BUDS. Don't know if they made it through, but considering how few slots go to officers, I thought it was pretty cool. And I have met one Aggie former Seal officer, when he was working for the weapons of mass destruction factory in Amarillo.

I know of at least one Ol' Ag that is currently an active SEAL, well regarded and straight up awesome. He's from the late '90s.

Yeah, thought that was common knowledge. My bad.
