what was a fish match?
quote:
class of '15 was the last to report in with what was for chow at the table

Sounds like ours were a bit different. We each had to have a bundle of 107 blue tipped matches and on each side of each match we had to write something along the lines of "Redass E-1 Jock fish class of 2007"
quote:
I've heard that Duncan chow vocabulary has gone away. Terms like bullneck, cackle, deal, gun wadding, blood, baby, rabbit have gone away.

Is that correct young cadets?
If I were to say "shoot the battery acid" would you know what to do?

quote:
I would think the 'old' Duncan chow term for mayo would not pass muster in the new/integrated Corps.

By the way, do they still play
WHOOSE CUSH IS THIS

Not on the list were "BUZZ BERRIES"...if you remember what they are, you probably got to eat one at your table because your fish bud messed up...or maybe you did. We had a fish at our table who couldn't help "buzzing" (grinning or smirking), so we ate a lot of buzz berries. They are the green peppers in the clear bottles that give the hot to the vinegar contained therein. If someone messed up or "buzzed" at the table, we had to pass the bottle around, retrieve a "buzz berry" from it and eat it BUT not until instructed to do so. We sat there with that thing on our tongue until everyone got a pepper from the bottle. Then we were instructed to chew...not swallow...just chew. Then we were instructed to put our tongues out so the p-heads could see that we had chewed the pepper up good before we were given permission to swallow it. And, of course, they wouldn't let us follow it up with sky or cow or whatever for a moment (that felt like an eternity). After a bunch of those episodes, we ended up substituting green beans in a bottle. Took a few times before the upper classmen got wise to us, so we got to go on bloody cross hikes around the quad at high port arms!
Can you say GOOD BULL? Whooop!!!
