Up in the morning, outta the rack
Greeted at dawn with an early attack
First Sergeant rushes me off to chow
But I dont need it anyhow

Hail O' Hail O' Infantry
Queen of battle follow me
An airborne rangers life for me
O' nothing in this world is free

From a big bird in the sky
All will jump and some will die
Off to battle we will go
To live or die, hell I dont know

Hail O' Hail O' Infantry
Queen of battle follow me
An airborne rangers life for me
O' nothing in this world is free

Early at night its drizzilin' rain
I am hit and feel no pain
But in my heart I have no fear
Because my ranger God is here

Hail O' Hail O' Infantry
Queen of battle follow me
An airborne rangers life for me
O' nothing in this world is free

The mortars and artillery
The screaming bursts around me
Jagged shrapnel on the fly
Kills my buddy, makes me cry

Hail O' Hail O' Infantry
Queen of battle follow me
An airborne rangers life for me
O' nothing in this world is free

The one running cadence I don't think I'll ever hear again is "The S&M Man".

When we were going through mobilization training at Ft Stewart our leadership thought it would be a good idea to make us march everywhere in formation and have someone call cadence. It started to wear on us pretty quick. One day, one of our Ranger tabbed squad leaders started this cadence. He got about two verses into it (something about bending a preacher over a pew) before the PL flipped out and squashed it. We didn't do too many marching cadences after that.

I can't take anymore of hail o infantry. Between that and c-130 rolling down the strip I want to bludgeon my ears with an ice pick

As a 12B (Combat Engineer) who has been mechanized his whole career, I can relate to Irish_Man's statement, quote:

"between that and c-130 rolling down the strip I want to bludgeon my ears with an ice pick."

I always think it is funny when someone who isn't Airborne qualified starts calling "C-130 rolling down the strip," especially in a Mechanized unit. This is the way that my squad leader from my 1st iraq deployment called that particular cadence:

"C-130 rollin' down the strip,
you know that cadence makes me sick.
Keep your chute, give me a track,
Cause mechanized is where it's at.

APC rollin' over the hill
Sapper squad getting ready to kill.
Headspace and timing set just right,
50 gunner looking for a fight."

That was always good for getting some strange looks from the Airborne qualified Soldiers close to us. ENGINEERS- we breach for the infantry!

The S&M man = greatness.

I can recall getting into trouble for that one during a Friday corps run....
